Picnic at a Lake

DESCRIPTIVE PARAGRAPHS

Last week I went to a picnic with my friends. The picnic took place on a Saturday afternoon at the Mehal
Lake, which is a local attraction. It was a truly enriching experience. There was much to observe at the
lake. Many types of plants that cannot be found anywhere else in the city grow naturally by the lakeside.
The lake has its own unique ecosystem full of fish, algae, strange insects and larger creatures like badgers
and beavers. The lake is at an elevation, which means that the climate is pleasant, but it is warm enough
for flora and fauna to flourish. While we set up our picnic some distance away from the shoreline, many
people were setting up right next to it, trampling plants and disturbing the creatures who live close by.
I think the lake should be fenced to prevent people from encroaching upon the habitat of creatures, and
offenders should be heavily penalised.
