DESCRIPTIVE PARAGRAPHS
This year at the school annual function I was asked to give a speech about the increasing role of
technology in education. I was very nervous since I had to speak in front of the whole school and my
parents were also in the audience. I had some prior experience with giving speeches as I had participated
in a number of competitions before, but this time the preparation was a lot harder since I wanted to
surprise everyone. I did not ask for any help from my parents or my friends. Only the teacher in charge
of the function read my speech before I presented it. When it was time to speak I managed to concentrate
and I think I did a good job. My parents were proud of me for having given such an important speech.
I will cherish this memory forever.
