DESCRIPTIVE PARAGRAPHS
My grandparents live on the outskirts of the small town of Iglas in Uttar Pradesh. Their house is a small
bungalow surrounded by wild woods. There is a small road leading up to the house that is very sparsely
travelled. The house itself is a two storey building with five rooms. The structure was built in the 1940s
when my grandfather bought the land. The house is designed in an old-fashioned way with high ceilings
and storage space in every room. The furniture is also very old and made of sturdy teak wood. The terrace
gives a clear view of the surrounding woods where, according to some, spirits dwell. I have never believed
the legend. As a kid I used to be afraid of the terrace because it had very low railings and I could look
directly at the ground below. Now I love spending time there since the view of the stars is unlike anything
I’ve seen in the city.
